Senior General Accountant

Job Objective

Our success at Sahl relies directly on the accuracy of our financial records. We’re looking for a Senior Accountant who brings technical precision to daily accounting processes and works well with teams across the business.

In this role, you will be the hands-on expert responsible for day-to-day ledger accuracy, account reconciliations, and tax compliance. You will serve as a reliable point of contact between accounting and other departments, helping keep processes smooth and transparent while consistently hitting reporting deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Core Reconciliations: Conduct weekly bank and high-volume account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain ledger integrity.

• General Ledger & Journal Entries: Prepare and post complex journal entries, maintain the chart of accounts, and ensure proper classification of all financial transactions.

• Accounts Payable & Receivable Support: Execute and verify invoice processing, employee expense reimbursements, and collection tracking.

• Fixed Asset Accounting: Maintain the fixed asset register, accurately recording asset additions, disposals, and monthly depreciation schedules.

• Month-End Closing Support: Prepare detailed working papers and balance sheet schedules to assist the Accounting Manager with the monthly closing and preparation of financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow).

• Tax & Audit Readiness: Prepare clear supporting documentation and schedules for internal/external auditors and calculate/prepare regulatory tax filings (VAT and withholding taxes).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in the Accounting field.

• 2-4 years of experience in Accounting

• Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks

• Exceptional attention to detail with a proven track record of maintaining high accuracy

• Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
